He finds a friend in Dancing Feather, a skittish, but beautiful filly. After a riding accident, Dancing Feather’s owner becomes sick. WillGolden Sun and Little Turtle be able to save their friend? Read this book by the illustrator’s daughter, Whitney Sanderson to find out.
Risky Chance is about a sleek and fast Thoroughbred. He wins many races, but injures his leg racing against Seabiscuit at the Santa Anita Handicap. Even though his leg seems to heal, it never really does, and he is forced to run in claim races, going from one owner to the other. But is there hope at the end of this dark tunnel? This is one of the best Horse Diaries, so be sure to read it!
I got a $10 gift card to Chapters today, so I went to Chapters, naturally! 🙂 I got two books in a wonderful series called Horse Diaries. They’re basically stories of different breeds told by the horses point of view, first person. I haven’t had time to read them yet, but watch out for a post about them coming up!
I went to a used bookstore yesterday, and found this book on the shelves, and took it home.
